Super-Besse is a winter sports resort located in the Massif Central, in the commune of Besse-et-Saint-Anastaise, in the region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. This resort is part of the Grand Sancy skiing area and it has been ranked first resort of the Massif Central since 2017. Super-Besse is a dynamic and lively resort that attracts thousands of tourists each year. Located in the heart of the “Volcans d’Auvergne” Nature Reserve, it has a rich historic and cultural heritage. This is the perfect place for families looking for new experiences in a natural and authentic setting. The Super-Besse resort contains 27 slopes for a total of 43 kilometers. The skiing area stretches over 75 hectares and contains 28 hectares of night-skiing slopes. Located at 1,350 meters in altitude, the resort’s peak reaches 1,800m in altitude, offering a 500-meter vertical drop. In Super-Besse, the ski season usually lasts 120 days from the beginning of December to mid-April.
