Chantemerle is a French village of the Hautes-Alpes and is part of the Saint-Chaffrey commune with Villard-Laté, La Gerarde and Briançon. These four communes form the Serre Chevalier domain which is the ski resort of the Guisane Valley. This 410-hectare area contains 81 slopes covering 250 kilometers. There is a majority of red and blue slopes with 69 ski lifts to reach them. The season lasts around 165 days from the beginning of December to the end of April.
Located near the Ecrins National Reserve, the resort of Serre Chevalier offers a mountain atmosphere appreciated by many skiers. Located at 1,200 meters in altitude, its highest peak culminates at 2,800 meters with a 1,600 meter vertical drop.
