Oz is a French commune in Isère, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. It has a winter sports resort, Oz-en-Oisans, which is part of the Grandes Rousses domain with the Alpes d’Huez, Auris-en-Oisans, Oz-en-Oisans, Vaujany and Villard-Reculas. The ski resort of Oz-en-Oisans provides an easy access to the Alpe d’Huez area thanks to the Alpette and Poutran cable cars. The medium sized and convivial domain ensures a quick access to bigger resorts.
Located at 1,100m in altitude, the resort of Oz-en-Oisans culminates at 2,800m above sea level and offers impressive panoramas of the surrounding mountains. You can enjoy 53km of descents for 30 slopes adapted to all levels, some are located on steep hills and others on narrower and wild paths in forests. To please all winter sports fans, the resort offers two snow parks and 50 km of cross-country skiing. The domain counts 20 ski lifts including 8 cable cars and 9 chairlifts. In Oz-en-Oisans, the ski season stretches from mid-December to mid-April. However, if the snowfall is not optimal during the season, the resort contains 35 km of slopes covered by snow cannons.
