Le Grand-Bornand is a French commune of Haute-Savoie, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Located between the Bornes and Avaris mountains, this commune has a popular ski resort which attracts thousands of tourists each year. Charming and authentic, Le Grand-Bornand was labelled “Touristic Commune” attesting of the beauty of the landscape. The village is a combination of mountain traditions and modernity thanks to its ski resort offering a skiing area of 360 hectares. Le Grand-Bornand resort contains 49 slopes (green and red for the most part) spreading over 86 kilometers. Located at 1,000 meters in altitude, the slopes of the resort culminate at 2,100m above sea level and it provides a 1,100-meter vertical drop. The domain owns 29 ski lifts (including cable cars and chairlifts).
