Gourette is a winter sports resort of the Pyrénées-Atlantique, in the region of Nouvelle Aquitaine. Linked with the commune of Eaux-Bonnes, the resort is located at 1,400 meters in altitude and offers a skiing area of 124 hectares. Its peak reaches 2,450m above sea level for a 1,100-meter vertical drop, which is quite rare in the Pyrénées and it offers an abundant snow cover from November to April. Due to its location, Gourette welcomed several times the Tour de France competitors in 1910, 2007 and 2011. Aware of its touristic attractiveness, the resort offers a large choice of hotels, shops and services.
The resort of Gourette contains 39 slopes for a total of 35 kilometers with mostly red slopes. Enjoy two kilometers of night skiing slopes and a snow park. In Gourette, the ski season stretches over 130 days, from the beginning of December to mid-April. The skiing area is adapted to beginner and advanced skiers.
