Come to Châtel, a convivial resort of the Portes du Soleil domain!
Châtel is a French commune of Haute-Savoie, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Located near the Swiss border, this commune is easily accessible and attracts, each year, thousands of tourists. Mainly appreciated for its winter sports resort, it is part of the Portes du Soleil domain, one of the largest in the world with more than 650 kilometers of slopes.
The Châtel area contains 46 slopes (mainly blue and red slopes) for a total of 83 kilometers. Located at 1,100 meters in altitude and culminating at 2,200 meters at its highest peak, the resort offers a 1,100-meter vertical drop. The resort provides 42 ski lifts with a majority of chair lifts. The ski season lasts around 135 days each year, from the end of December to the end of April.
