Avoriaz is a ski resort located in Haute-Savoie in the Alps, close to the Swiss border. The resort is part of the Portes du Soleil domain, second largest skiing area in the world behind the Trois Vallées, with 283 slopes for a total length of 425 km straddling France and Switzerland. The Avoriaz resort reaches a height of 2,460 m and a drop of 1,260 m. The ski season is rather stretched out with 130 opening days, from mid-December to the end of April. Apart from the resort, the city of Avoriaz is famous for its sumptuous landscapes that can be admired from the top of the peaks, but also for multiple activities it offers in all seasons. There, you’ll find Aquariaz, a big water park, with water heated to 29°c all year, and the Annie Famose Children's Village which welcomes children all year long to teach them about winter sports and other activities. Avoriaz offers many activities to experiment during your stay such as riding in a sleigh, balloon flights, ice diving, snow mountain biking, ice skating… Enough to satisfy all desires!
