The Trois Vallées is a skiing area of Savoie, located in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. It is the most significant domain of France in terms of numbers of slopes, with 335 listed slopes. It is ranked at the second place in terms of descent kilometers, right behind Portes du Soleil. The domain of Trois Vallées gathers eight resorts among which there are Courchevel, Méribel and Val Thorens. These resorts are in the ranking of the world’s most visited winter sports sites and welcome several hundred thousand skiers each year.
